STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (WABC) -- You might call it a sweet victory for police on Staten Island, as they found the woman they say was caught on camera stealing Halloween candy.
NYPD officers cited 33-year-old Rasha Rohmen, of Staten Island. She's facing a misdemeanor charge of petit larceny and was issued a date to appear in court.
Security footage showed a woman and child swiping an entire stash of treats from a home on Woodrow Road in the Huguenot section Saturday night. The items taken included two buckets of candy and a bin of toys for children with food allergies.
The young girl with Rohmen was not charged. Police said she's not Rohmen's daughter.
