NEW YORK (WABC) -- It ain't over till it's over. The New York Knicks are staging a fourth quarter come back after a nearly 30-point deficit to the San Antonio Spurs.

Spurs put the hurt on the New York Knicks early in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

San Antonio shot 60% from the floor in the first half, in route to an historic 27-point first half lead over New York. The Spurs' 14 first-half three-pointers also set an NBA Finals record.

However, the Knicks have shown a penchant for coming back late, and if they can do it again Wednesday night, they will be on the doorstep of a championship.

The Knicks can take a 3-1 lead over the Spurs with a win tonight.

The Spurs won Game 3 on Monday powered by Wembanyama's 32 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three blocked shots. That was the third straight victory by the road team in the series, only the second time that has happened in the NBA Finals.

The other was the series between Chicago and Phoenix in 1993. Michael Jordan eventually put a stop to that by scoring 55 points in Game 4 to lead the eventual champion Bulls to the victory on their home floor.

Win or lose, Game 5 is Saturday in San Antonio, and if the road success continues Wednesday, the series would return to New York for Game 6 on Tuesday.

The Knicks, seeking their first championship since 1973, will be trying to bounce back after the Spurs snapped their 13-game winning streak on Monday.

Game 5 tips off on Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. on ABC 7, your home for the NBA Finals. Pre-game coverage begins at 7:30 p.m.

Watch party outside MSG canceled for Game 4

The Knicks say there will be no watch party outside Madison Square Garden.

Fans are being directed to Wollman Rink, which is already sold out.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani posted a response to his X account following the announcement, saying the city approved a permit for a watch party for 999 fans.

Knicks owner Dolan scoffed at the limitation, calling the mayor and the police commissioner "party poopers," but the NYPD pointed out MSG only sought a permit for 500-999 people.

Dolan also complained about the secure zone established around the arena.

"You have an easier chance of getting into Area 51 today than you do into Madison Square Garden," Dolan said. "You would think we were guarding Fort Knox"

An MSG official said in a statement, "The Knicks never agreed to what the city proposed. So the watch party outside MSG was not cancelled in the traditional sense. The Knicks do not agree to what the city proposed."

Knicks owner James Dolan says MSG won't put up watch screens for under 1,000 people

Knicks owner James Dolan said he is not putting up watch screens on Madison Square Garden for less than 1,000 people to watch at the city-approved watch party

He said fans have been waiting a long time and pleaded for larger crowds to be let in.

"Our hope is that the mayor and commissioner will change their minds and put the screens up, it's almost 5 p.m. and they haven't changed their mind," Dolan said.

He said he went on WFAN to warn fans that it will take hours to get into the secure area tonight.

"You have an easier chance of getting into Area 51 today than you do into Madison Square Garden."

"This is not about a watch party," he continued "this is about celebrating the Knicks at MSG, at the Mecca of Basketball. This is what the Mayor's Office and the Commissioner's Office is trying to kill...I'm not sure why they don't want the celebration."

"They clearly don't want it," when asked why NYPD set up the security, adding Mayor Mamdani is clearly not a Knick fan.
