
NEW YORK (WABC) -- A man in Queens has died after he was struck by a falling tree during the storms on Saturday night.
It happened in Forest Park around 8:30 p.m.
NYPD officers arrived to find the 85-year-old victim dead after he was crushed by the tree.
New York City Parks reported more than 250 calls for downed trees across the five boroughs.
Some people said the storm came so fast they did not know what was happening.
Firefighters in Brooklyn and Queens also had to rescue two people from the water Saturday night.
They were taken to local hospitals.
Con Edison said Sunday morning they are still working to restore service to more than 10,000 customers after the powerful storms.
