Knicks look to finish off Spurs in Game 5 of the NBA Finals Saturday | Live Updates

It's an incredibly busy day around Madison Square Garden as World Cup fans head to Penn Station, Knicks fans prepare for tonight's watch party and 5 Seconds of Summer fans head to a concert. The NYPD released guidance for those who will be in the area:

Watch Party:

• There will be a 3,000-person ticketed watch party outside of Madison Square Garden tonight.

• You must register and have a ticket for that party through Madison Square Garden. If you do not have an official ticket, you will not be allowed in.

• Everyone will be screened, and no bags will be allowed at the watch party.

• Anyone attending the watch party will be allowed to enter the area starting at 6:30pm. No one will be allowed entry after 8:30pm.

• You can only go through two dedicated screening locations:

Sixth Avenue at West 33rd Street

Sixth Avenue at West 32nd Street

• Attendees of the watch party will be placed in pens. If you leave your designated pen, there will be no reentry.

• There will be a strict no bag policy enforced for the watch party. Other restricted items include: backpacks, bags, alcohol, bottles, umbrellas, etc.

Security Perimeter and Access Points:

• Because of the major events on Saturday, starting at 4pm, there will be a security perimeter established around Madison Square Garden, as we have had during the past few games.

• That perimeter will run from West 29th Street to West 35th Street, between Sixth Avenue and Eighth Avenue. Sixth and Eighth Avenues will be open to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic, but are subject to closures.

• Starting at 4pm, no one will be allowed inside the secure area unless they have a ticket to the concert at MSG, a train ticket, are going to a business (restaurant or bar) inside the area, live in the area, or have some other authorized reason to be there.

• Starting at 8:30pm, if you are traveling through Penn Station, you must go to Moynihan Station, or you can go to Grand Central. There will be additional LIRR trains departing from Grand Central tonight to accommodate.

• Everyone entering the area will be screened. Please make sure you arrive early to allow for enough time to get through the screening locations.

• If you have a reason to be in the secure area, you can enter at one of four designated entry points for screening:

Sixth Avenue at West 33rd Street

Sixth Avenue at West 32nd Street (this is the only entry point for FIFA World Cup screening)

Eighth Avenue at West 33rd Street (no watch party access permitted at this location)

Eighth Avenue at West 30th Street (no watch party access permitted at this location)

• Businesses inside the perimeter, including bars and restaurants between Sixth and Seventh Avenues, and those between Seventh and Eighth Avenues, will be allowed to operate with strict capacity limits.

• If you plan to frequent one of those locations, you will need to be screened at a security checkpoint. The NYPD will help facilitate access to those businesses.

• Please remember that certain items will not be permitted inside the secure area, including backpacks, bags, alcohol, bottles, or umbrellas.

World Cup:

• Trains will be departing Penn Station for MetLife Stadium from 1pm-6pm.

• Everyone who is traveling by train will be screened by Amtrak Police.

• You can only enter through one designated access point:

Sixth Avenue at 32nd Street

• Please plan to arrive early.

• Following the game, if you are returning by train to Penn Station, you will not be allowed to remain in the frozen zone.

MSG Concert:

• There is a concert at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night that begins at 8pm. Doors open to the concert at 6pm.

• Everyone going to the concert will be screened.

• You can enter through any of the four access points, but you must show your ticket.

The Knicks will host watch parties outside Madison Square Garden and at Radio City Music Hall for Game 5 of the 2026 NBA Finals, the team announced.

The MSG event will hold a maximum of 3,000 ticketed fans within the NYPD "frozen zone." Only ticketed watch party fans will be permitted entry and must be through security and in place at Plaza33 no later than 8:30pm to be allowed entry into the Plaza33 watch party.

Attendees at Radio City can watch the game on large screens inside the venue amongst other fans, the team announced. Tickets are required to attend and are $10 each, with ticket proceeds benefiting the Garden of Dreams Foundation, which works closely with the MSG Family of Companies to bring life-changing opportunities to young people in need year-round.

Another free watch party will be held for fans at Wollman Rink in Central Park.

Pre-registration on the Knicks website is required for all three events and tickets will be made available to fans on Saturday, June 13 at 10am ET.
