Mamdani announces development of 2 new clinics

Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced the development of two clinics on Tuesday

The facilities, one in Queens and one in Woodhull, Brooklyn, are designed to bring aid to people who are aging out of pediatric care at 16 and into young adulthood at 25.

"We want these clinics to feel like a space that young people can turn to when they are hurt, when they are isolated, when they are alone, when they feel like their struggles are only their own, when in fact we know that those are struggles that should concern all of us across the city," Mamdani said. "Especially when young people need help and they don't know where to turn to."

Mamdani says the clinics will provide consistent mental, behavioral, emotional and reproductive care.

He says success will be measured by the number of young people they're able to help.
