IRVINGTON, N.J. (WABC) -- Firefighters found a body after putting out an Irvington house fire.
The fire broke out at a building in the 200 block of 21st Street overnight. Firefighters put out the flames and were searching the house when they found the body.
According to fire personnel, the victim who was found on the third floor, likely was a squatter. The building had been abandoned. Debris from the roof had covered him, which is why he wasn't found right away.
Four firefighters sustained minor injuries battling the blaze.
Six people were temporarily displaced by the fire.
