Woman fights off attempted abduction in Paterson, NJ

PATERSON (WABC) -- Police are looking for two suspects after a woman fought off an abduction attempt in Paterson.

Authorities say she bit one of them in the hand as she tried to escape.

According to police, the 27-year old woman arrived early Saturday morning at a building on 21st Avenue when she was accosted by the suspects.

She bit one of the men as he was trying to cover her face with a towel. The suspects fled the scene.

Police reportedly found a hand towel, duct tape and a bottle of ammonia near the scene.

Investigators say it is not yet clear whether the woman was targeted.
