19-year-old man stabbed in hip on No. 6 train in the Bronx

The Bronx (WABC) -- A 19-year-old man was stabbed in the hip on a No. 6 train in the Bronx early Saturday, police said.

The attack happened as the northbound train was approaching the St. Lawrence Avenue Station around 3:30 a.m.

Police say the victim and suspect were involved in a dispute prior to the stabbing. It is unclear what the dispute was about.

The victim was taken to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition. The suspect fled the scene, according to officials.
