Police say the stabbing happened outside a location in the Manhattan neighborhood. The circumstances leading up to the attack were not immediately known.
A 27-year-old man was charged Monday with murder in the shooting death of celebrated former football coach John Beam, who died Friday after being shot on the junior college campus in Oakland where he worked.
The 30-year-old victim was stabbed in the upper torso on the northbound B line platform.
Police say the suspect slashed the victim across the neck.
The victim was riding a northbound Q train on Saturday morning around 6:30 a.m. when police say he was attacked near the Church Avenue Station.
The shooting happened at a subway station in the Bronx on Saturday morning.
