2027 NBA championship odds: Sixers sign LeBron, surge to +900 to take NBA crown

The Philadelphia 76ers began the offseason as a relative long shot to win the 2027 NBA Finals, but after two colossal transactions, they are now among the favorites to take home next season's title, tied for third with the reigning champion New York Knicks at +900.

The Sixers moved to that point from 20-1 immediately following the news that they had signed LeBron James to a two-year deal, having previously shortened from 60-1 after acquiring Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics (13-1). Philly also moved from +750 to +350 to win the Eastern Conference, just behind New York at +330.

The Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs remain the co-favorites to win the 2026-27 season's championship at +270, odds unchanged from Friday's announcement.

Outside the top five, there's a large pileup at 25-1 that includes the Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Minnesota Timberwolves and Toronto Raptors. The Miami Heat, seen as one of the favorites to land James, lengthened from 25-1 to 30-1 following the news.
