3-alarm fire burns through large home in Bergenfield, New Jersey

BERGENFIELD, New Jersey (WABC) -- A three-alarm fire burned through a home in Bergenfield, New Jersey early Thursday.

The fire broke out around 5 a.m. on Roosevelt Avenue in the basement of the home.

It quickly spread through all three floors of the home.

It took firefighters at least an hour to knock down most of the flames, but as of 7 a.m. it was still not deemed under control.

So far, there are no injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
