
BRONX (WABC) -- A 41-year-old man was shot on an MTA bus and later pronounced dead Monday in the Bronx.
Police say the victim was shot in the abdomen on a Bx36 bus and pronounced dead at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.
The shooting occurred on White Plains Road and East Tremont Avenue just before 3 p.m.
Police say a man wearing a white shirt fled the bus, running southbound on White Plains Road.
No information about the victim or the suspect has been released.
