NORTH CREEK, New York (WABC) -- Dozens of skiers were rescued from 20 gondola cabins in Gore Mountain after they stalled, leaving them suspended high above ground.
New York State Police and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation responded to the scene in the Adirondacks at 9 a.m. Wednesday to rescue the skiers.
Officials say 67 skiers were stuck in the air.

It took first responders hours to get each person down using ropes and cables. No one was hurt.
While Gore Mountain looks into this mechanical issue, the gondolas will not be in service.
