80-year-old man struck and killed by car in East Flatbush

EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (WABC) -- An 80-year-old pedestrian was struck by a car and killed in Brooklyn on Friday afternoon.

It happened just before 1:30 p.m. on Rutland Road.

Police say a 63-year-old woman driving a Lexus RX 350 was making a right turn onto E. 92nd Street from Rutland Road when she struck the man on the sidewalk.

The victim was pronounced dead on scene and the driver remained at the scene.

There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
