Basketball legend Alonzo Mourning to receive 2nd Annual Stuart Scott IMPACT Award

NEW YORK (WABC) -- The V Foundation for Cancer Research announced that NBA legend Alonzo Mourning will be honored with the second annual Stuart Scott IMPACT Award.

Mourning, an icon on and off the basketball court, has been a vocal philanthropist and advocate, having faced his own battle with cancer following his retirement from the sport.

He will receive the award at the Boo-Yah event in New York City.
