Teacher and coach arrested for child porn

EAST ORANGE, N.J. (WABC) -- Bail has been set for a gym teacher and wrestling coach at East Orange Campus High School who was arrested on charges of possession of child pornography and operating a marijuana production facility.

Justin Bozinta, 37, of Roselle, a teacher at Costley Middle School in East Orange, was arrested Feb. 13. He was in court in Elizabeth Friday morning.

Bozinta, who has no prior record, will be held on $275,000 bail. He will have to surrender his passport.

Bozinta is accused of uploading several images of child pornography to a Google+ photo account using a school computer, the statement says.

While executing a search warrant at the teacher's home as part of a child pornography investigation, detectives found an indoor marijuana growing operation, according to a statement from the state attorney general's office. In addition to the marijuana and child porn, they also recovered a handgun, rifles and a silencer.

The investigation began with a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which indicated that the images were uploaded from a school district facility using the email account later traced to Bozinta.

Bozinta has worked in the East Orange School District since 2000. The East Orange School District said that it could not confirm the status of Bozinta's employment. It also said it would share information about the case with parents, students and teachers.

Bozinta had applied for a public defender.
