NEW YORK (WABC) -- Welcome to Bill Ritter Reports: Living with Alzheimer's, a special digital resource from WABC-TV Channel 7 New York.

Bill has made it his mission to report on the disease while living with it. He stepped down from the Channel 7 Eyewitness News anchor desk in June 2026 after his diagnosis with early stage Alzheimer's, and, while fighting the disease, he is reporting on a condition that afflicts countless families.

As Bill takes us on his journey, he will share reporting on Alzheimer's and related conditions. Bill will talk about symptoms, stages, treatments, research and impact on patients and families.

It will also be a deeply personal journey, told in the way only Bill can.

As Bill said when he announced he was stepping away from the anchor desk, he will be covering "the rising tide of Alzheimer's, and other similar diseases, including how it's affecting patients and their families, how the price of treatment and the price of caring for patients is simply unaffordable and how this country might begin to change that."
