BLOOMFIELD, New Jersey (WABC) -- A school in New Jersey is shut down after a water main break and while emergency crews are trying to repair the damage, families are left scrambling to prepare for virtual learning.
Students at the Oak View School in Bloomfield had an unexpected day off on Thursday.
Parents were spotted bringing their kids into school just to pick up Chromebook computers so they can have remote classes on Friday.
For families, it means they have had to adjust their work schedules in order to take care of their children.
The repairs to the water main break are underway and will be inspected before the school can reopen.
Officials expect that to happen on Monday.
Meanwhile, staff was on site to help with technology issues.
It is still not clear what caused the water main break.
