Body of missing Staten Island man found in Bayonne

BAYONNE, N.J. (WABC) -- The body of missing Staten Island man was found floating on the shoreline of Kill Van Kull Park in Bayonne, New Jersey.

The body of 25-year-old John Casalaspro was discovered by a passerby, who was walking his dog on Friday at around 2:15 p.m.

The Bayonne Fire Department removed his body from the water.

Last week, his family had held a candlelight vigil at the place where Casalaspro was last seen on October 9th.

He was hanging out with friends near the waters off Port Richmond.

The next day, he didn't show up to his job as a plumber's assistant.

The Medical Examiner will determine Casalaspro's cause of death.
