16-year-old boy fatally shot inside NYCHA complex in Sheepshead Bay
SHEEPSHEAD BAY, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police are searching for a suspect after a 16-year-old boy was shot and killed inside a NYCHA complex in Brooklyn on Monday.
The shooting happened just before 6 p.m. inside the Sheepshead Bay Houses.
Police say a 16-year-old boy was shot in the chest inside the housing complex.
He was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health in critical condition and later died.
Sources told Eyewitness News that police are looking for a male wearing a blue hat who fled on foot in an unknown direction.
No arrests have been made so far.
The investigation is ongoing.
