THE BRONX, New York (WABC) -- NYCHA plumbers and a vendor were able to restore heat and hot water to the Castle Hill Houses complex Thursday morning.

A water main break had caused an outage on Wednesday.

Heat and water outages were reported across the entire Castle Hill Houses complex on Wednesday.

The complex is made up of more than 2,000 apartments.

Residents who spoke with Eyewitness News Wednesday night, had said at the time that they had no water at all since early Wednesday morning, and then received notices that there had been a water main break.

"The water went off first, then they put out the notice saying there was no water," one resident said. "And if there is a water main break, how long is going to take to get fixed?"

Another resident confirmed to Eyewitness News that his heat and hot water had returned.
