CENTRAL PARK, Manhattan (WABC) -- A coyote was captured taking a morning stroll across a frozen pond in Central Park earlier this month.
Photographer Michael Silverstone caught the moment the animal crossed the ice at Turtle Pond on the morning of Dec. 20.
"Relieved when I found out this was a wild coyote and not somebody's actual pet on the loose. The things you see in NYC!" Silverstone said on Instagram.

Central Park is home to a small population of coyotes, including a pair named Romeo and Juliet.
The duo is often spotted near the Delacorte Theater where Shakespeare in the Park takes place in the summer.
