CUTE: Mom gets son to eat healthy by creating cartoon-themed meals

Friday, July 31, 2015
Laleh Mohmedi has a creative way of getting her son to eat healthy: by turning the food into cartoon characters.
Mohmedi is a medical recruiter who lives with her husband and son in Melbourne, Australia.
Here she made the character Joy from ''Inside Out'' using ham, cheese, lettuce, blueberries and a wrap.
This is Fear from ''Inside Out,'' created using purple carrots, dyed rice and coconut chicken.
Here's Mr. Potato Head made from lentils, carrots, sweet potatoes, brown rice, wilted spinach, capsicum, eggplant and wholemeal bread.
Here is Dr. Seuss' character The Lorax, made from wholemeal spelt pancakes and oranges.
This 3-D snack is shaped like Mike from ''Monsters Inc.'' It's made using a pear, cheese, blueberries and crackers
This minion is made from eggs, cucumber, fresh beetroot, carrot and mandarin juice.
Breaking from their usual cartoon characters, Mohmedi made Michael Jackson from coconut chicken rice, nori and peas.
Kermit the Frog and Animal from ''The Muppets'' are made from fruit and served with a side of blueberry pancakes.
Olaf from ''Frozen'' is made with scrambled egg whites and served with a side of freshly squeezed juice. And he of course has a carrot nose.
Mohmedi made these owls with chicken and sultana meatballs served over vegetable pasta.
This intricate Pinocchio meal incoporates scrambled eggs with spinach, peanut butter on toast, vegemite, pear and strawberries.
Simba is made from lentils with rice and a whole meal wrap and served with a side of zucchini letters. Mohmedi almost always carves Jacob's name with his side.
