Manhunt underway after bullet through wall kills next-door neighbor in Connecticut

DANBURY, Connecticut (WABC) -- A manhunt is underway in Connecticut for a gunman who opened fire and killed a next-door neighbor in Danbury.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday at a townhome on Lake Avenue.

The bullet went through the wall and struck the victim, who has been identified as 37-year-old Victor Quispe.

"He's a good guy, a good friend, excellent barber, but more of a good friend, good person," said Randy Hamilton.

He was rushed to the hospital but did not survive.

Quispe is being remembered as a master a barber whose wife is expecting a child. he was also an active member of his homeowner's association.

Police say the person who fired the round left before officers arrived.

Investigators are still working to determine whether the shooting was intentional or an accident.
