NEW YORK -- A line of fast-moving storms led to flooding in parts of New York City and New Jersey on Sunday morning.

Flooding near Exit 5 of the Clearview Expressway in Queens trapped two cars.

The drivers were able to safely exit their vehicles with help from the FDNY.

Lanes of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway and Long Island Expressway were closed for a time.

In Newark, firefighters responded to calls of cars stuck in the area of Frelinghuysen Avenue and Meeker Avenue.

Firefighters used an inflatable raft to safely rescue three drivers.
