Video: First responders drop into manhole cover to rescue worker

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan (WABC) -- The NYPD released video of first responders dropping through a manhole cover to rescue a construction worker who fell down the manhole in Washington Heights last week.

On November 20, Police and firefighters worked together to reach the construction worker, who was trapped but conscious after falling roughly 15 feet.

The 35-year-old man was taken to the hospital to get treated for pain in his right ankle.
