An autopsy has revealed the cause of death for a woman who plunged to her death after stepping out of her car into an open manhole in Midtown on Monday night.
The liquid was oozing out of sewer grates in Lower Manhattan as seen in a video posted on X.
Fittingly, the sculpture is entitled "N.Y.C Legend," and will be on display until June 2024.
While the cover did not hit anyone, the force of the explosion was so intense that it shattered the front window of one man's apartment.
A woman was returning home Monday night when the ground underneath her feet opened and swallowed her partially down a manhole in New Jersey.
Contractors spent Tuesday morning repairing the damage and replacing the 250-pound manhole cover, which blew off as the Q66 bus headed east on Northern Boulevard in Corona.
