Thieves steal $30K of handbags from Gucci store at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets
WOODBURY, New York (WABC) -- Police are searching for four people who stole thousands of dollars worth of handbags from the Gucci outlet store at Woodbury Commons in front of stunned shoppers.
Video shows the suspects running away after the heist last Thursday around 3 p.m.
Authorities say they smashed display cases with $30,000 worth of handbags.
They were in and out in less than a minute. No shoppers or employees were injured.
The suspects got away in a Jeep that was spotted later that day in Newark. The driver led cops on a chase but got away.
The vehicle was later found abandoned in Irvington.
Investigators believe the same group may be responsible for other thefts in the area.
