Queens man shot dead near Jay St-MetroTech subway station in Downtown Brooklyn, police investigating

32-year-old man killed in downtown Brooklyn; no arrests

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN (WABC) -- Police are investigating after a man was shot near the crowded Jay St-MetroTech station in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn during Friday's evening rush hour.

Clyde Ricks, 32, a resident of Jamaica, Queens, was critically wounded after he was shot in the torso near 391 Jay Street.

Ricks was transported by EMS in critical condition to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased by hospital staff.

There are no arrests at this time.
