EDENWALD, Bronx (WABC) -- New York City police say they are looking for a man who lured a 13-year-old walking to school into a secluded area and sexually assaulted her.
It happened in Seton Falls Park near East 233rd Street and Wilder Avenue just after 8:20 a.m. Thursday.
The girl was on her way to school at the time. He ordered her to lift her shirt and preformed a lewd act while watching her.
The girl was not touched or injured.
He is described as a man between 30 and 40 years old, with a heavy build and dark complexion and was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants and black boots.
While police continue to search for the suspect, residents say they will be keeping a closer eye on their kids and staying vigilant.
"I feel for the child and the parents and the parent...they probably work and can't take their child back to school, so I feel for the parents," one resident said.
Police are continuing to stand guard by the entrance of the park while the manhunt continues.
