Mayor Mamdani begins weeklong vacation upstate
NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- Mayor Zohran Mamdani is beginning a weeklong vacation Sunday, according to City Hall.
The mayor's office said Mamdani and his family will spend the week in upstate New York. During his time away, he does not plan to hold any public events but will continue receiving regular updates from senior staff.
The mayor didn't announce exactly where he and his family would be staying.
Dean Fuleihan, the city's first deputy mayor, will oversee day-to-day operations while Mamdani is away.
City Hall said Mamdani is expected to return in one week.
