BRONX, New York (WABC) -- Mayor Zohran Mamdani is using his Office of Community Engagement to "make sure New Yorkers' voices are heard" at the upcoming Rent Guidelines Board hearings.
They are launching "Organize NYC" to mobilize renters to speak out at the hearings.
The office says it is careful not to advocate "for any specific outcome position."
"We are not advocating for any specific outcome or position," said Office of Mass Engagement Commissioner Tascha Van Auken.
One of the mayor's main campaign promises was to freeze the rent for stabilized tenants.
