One of two missing kayakers in Shinnecock Bay found dead

SHINNECOCK BAY, Long Island (WABC) -- One of two missing kayakers on Long Island has been found dead.

Police divers recovered the body of Shane Garcia, 27, in Shinnecock Bay on Sunday evening.

Garcia and Aaron Monte-Marano, 25, never returned from a trip on Saturday. Their kayaks and paddles were spotted around noon on Sunday, apparently after washing ashore.

The search for Monte-Marano will resume on Monday morning.
