You can now shop for holiday decorations at a massive warehouse in Mount Vernon
MOUNT VERNON (WABC) -- 'Christmas In America' is a sprawling warehouse in Mount Vernon that is a one-stop shopping wonderland for the holidays.
For more than 50 years, the company has worked with huge commercial clients in our area.
In 2020, after sales slowed because of the pandemic, it decided to open to the wider public.
"We were getting phone calls from people wanting to buy for their homes, and we had a sample sale that year, and it was a huge success," CEO Dan Casterella said.
There's also an online component.
For those who want to get a jump start, the shop opens in July.
The team of employees also works on larger-than-life structures by hand.
The large pieces will be moved and placed in flagship stores in our area, including the corporate office buildings, and sent all over the world.
"We have an 18-foot polar bear going to NYC next week," Casterella said.
On December 11th, the shop will have a sample sale with bargain prices on many items.
