SCOTCH PLAINS, N.J. (WABC) -- A family from New Jersey is desperate to find their beloved dog, named 'Trouble,' after it escaped from a pet sitter's fenced-in yard a month ago.
On March 31, while the Davis family was on vacation, Trouble somehow slipped away from the pet sitter's fenced-in backyard in Garwood.
"It's like living in a nightmare," the owner said.
The family's other dog, Muppet, remained in the yard.
The family says he takes daily medication for a back condition and is worried since he has not had the medication.
Making matters worse, the Davises say they weren't told until days later.
Once they found out, they rushed home and began searching for him.
"We got a drone, we got a K-9 scent tracker," Meredith Davis said.
"No questions asked, we just want him safe and to come back home," Davis said.
