Pedestrian struck and killed by hit-and-run driver in Hackensack

HACKENSACK, New Jersey (WABC) -- Police in New Jersey are investigating a deadly hit and run in Hackensack on Friday morning.

It happened just before 1 a.m. near Essex Street and Summit Avenue.

Authorities say the victim was found in the roadway with serious injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Few other details were released.
