Sinkhole opens up on Route 18 in East Brunswick, New Jersey

EAST BRUNSWICK, New Jersey (WABC) -- A sinkhole is causing headaches for motorists in East Brunswick, New Jersey.

Images from the East Brunswick Police Department showed a large hole that opened up along the side of Route 18 South.

Officers arrived on the scene and closed the road to traffic Saturday morning.

Police are telling people to avoid the area and expect delays near Rues Lane and Main Street.

There's no word yet when the road might reopen.
