NEW LOTS, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police in Brooklyn have arrested a man after a stolen car crashed and flipped on its side.
Mathew Moses, 21, of Brooklyn, faces several charges including robbery, burglary and grand larceny.
On Friday, along Linden Boulevard in the New Lots section, police said two men crashed a stolen red Nissan before fleeing.
Police were called to a home on Milford Street where the resident, a 22-year-old man, said two armed suspects came into his home, announced a robbery, and fled with money and his car keys.
Officers found the vehicle, a red 2004 Nissan Maxima, flipped over at the intersection of Linden Boulevard and Hinsdale Street, unoccupied. Firefighters on the scene of the flipped vehicle told officers that one suspect fled on foot and scaled a fence, and the other fled on foot down Linden Boulevard and got into a livery car.
Police found the livery cab and arrested Moses. They also recovered a .38 Caliber revolver, and sweatshirt near New Lots Avenue and Linden Boulevard. The second suspect has not been arrested.
Another automatic handgun was found in the Nissan.
