SUFFOLK COUNTY, Long Island (WABC) -- Knicks in six could be a reality, but the potential victory is something Evan Pfeufer predicted years ago in his 2020 high school yearbook.
"Mine was just straight to the point, cold prediction," Pfeufer, a Smithtown resident, said.
Leaving out the accolades and inspirational quotes, the Sachem West superfan graduate got right to the point.
And while some questioned the rhyme at the time, six years later---it's a slam dunk.
"Now that I'm getting all this traction from a quote and prediction I made when I was 17 is kind of surreal," Pfeufer said.
While some are predicting the Knicks will win, others are planning on a sweet celebration.
"The day of the parade, there will be a giant celebratory championship cake delivered to wherever the Knicks are having their party," Don Donneruno from The Cake Don said.
Donneruno is a lifelong Knicks fan. The baker said not "if," but "when" they have a victory party, he will bring the team a custom cake.
The Cake Don made a personalized Knicks-themed briefcase cake filled with money for one of the players this week.
"We did a birthday cake for Jordan Clarkson who had an insane game last night," Donneruno said.
Like the colorful blue and orange cupcakes that have been flying off the shelves, Donneruno said the Knicks bring people together---and it's New York forever.
"The Knicks were all in it together, and you can feel it---the city is different when the Knicks are winning," Donneruno said.
