WATCH: Selena Gomez, Gregg Sulkin, Jennifer Stone return in 'Wizards Beyond Waverly Place' finale

Step back into the magic with the official trailer for the final season of Disney's "Wizards Beyond Waverly Place."

The four-part finale event sees the return of executive producer Selena Gomez as Alex Russo, alongside some "Wizards of Waverly Place" fan favorite characters, Harper Finkle (Jennifer Stone) and Mason Greyback (Gregg Sulkin).

In the trailer, Alex answers a knock at her door from Mason. "I've missed you," he says, before they embrace in a big hug (which Harper decides to capture on her camera for scrapbooking purposes).

In addition to reprising her iconic role, Gomez will make her directorial debut with the premiere episode, which kicks off the finale event following Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown), who "discovers that the only way to rescue her mother, Alex, is to reunite with her long-lost father. As her family bands together to find Alex, Billie realizes that their combined power is the only way the Russos can defeat the evil plaguing them."

Alongside Brown, series regulars include executive producer David Henrie (Justin Russo), Alkaio Thiele (Roman Russo), Max Matenko (Milo Russo), Taylor Cora (Winter) and Mimi Gianopulos (Giada Russo). Maria Canals-Barrera (Theresa Russo), Brandon Micheal Hall (Damien Penwulf, Billie's father), Ramon Reed (Silas Evilini) and Tobias Jelinek (Lord Morsus) guest star.

All episodes premiere Aug. 4 on Disney Channel and next day on Disney+.
