Arrest made in fatal stabbing of 15-year-old at West Babylon house party

WEST BABYLON, Long Island -- Police have arrested a Syosset teen for allegedly stabbing a 15-year-old to death during a house party in West Babylon.

Homicide Squad detectives charged the 17-year-old male, whose name is being withheld due to his age, with murder in the 2nd Degree.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Central Islip.

The 15-year-old victim was stabbed and killed after a fight broke out at a house party on Long Island last Monday.

Authorities say about 100 teens were at a party outside a home on Carlton Road in West Babylon on Monday night when things got out of control just before 10:30 p.m.

Liam Delemo was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was pronounced dead.

The homeowner, 70-year-old Bonnie Miranda, was charged with Suffolk County's Social Host Law and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Police say Miranda allowed her grandchild to have a party at the home and is now facing charges.
