NEW YORK -- Derick Brassard, Chris Kreider and Rick Nash scored power-play goals 2:32 apart in the first period, and the surging New York Rangers rolled to a 6-1 victory over the slumping Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night.

Dan Boyle made it 4-0 with the only even-strength goal in the opening period, and Carl Hagelin and Jesper Fast added second-period tallies for the Rangers, who won for the 10th time in 11 games by posting their best offensive effort of the season.

Brassard, Boyle, Nash and Martin St. Louis all had two points. Henrik Lundqvist made 24 saves for the Rangers, who are heading to California for three games in four nights beginning Wednesday at Anaheim.
