ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. -- The controversy surrounding the Confederate flag continues in one Rocky Mount neighborhood.

Edward Lee West said he's not taking down the 150 Confederate flags surrounding his home, even after requests from his neighbors.

West lives in a predominately black neighborhood. The 71-year-old retiree says he has the flags because he just "wanted them."

A Rocky Mount spokesperson says West isn't breaking any codes because the flags are on his property.
