Sinkhole opens in Glendale, Queens, swallowing SUV on Cypress Avenue

GLENDALE (WABC) -- A road has been shut down in Queens by a huge sinkhole that is swallowing an SUV.

The roadway opened up along Cypress Avenue and Vermont Place in Glendale.

The right side of a Toyota toppled in, and then lingered on the brink.

The city has closed Cypress Avenue from Cooper Avenue to Vermont Place.
