Large crowds gathered as he pop-up opened at 5 East 59th Street, across from the Apple store.
The Snapbot pop-ups have previously appeared in other parts of the country, including the Grand Canyon and Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena within the past few days.
The camera-equipped glasses record up to 10 seconds of circular video through a 115-degree-angle lens, and the video clips can be played back in the updated Snapchat app.
The Spectacles glasses, selling for $129, come in three colors.
Long lines began to form as word quickly spread of the Central Park pop-up Monday:
