James Costello was supporting a friend who was running the 2013 Boston Marathon. Suddenly as two bombs exploded near the finish line, Costello was seen limping away, injured by shrapnel and severe burns.

Costello was uncertain that he would live, requiring multiple surgeries and skin grafts, starting his recovery at Massachusetts General Hospital and then later being transferred to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. But at Spaulding, Costello met Krista D'Agostino, who was temporarily assigned to the hospital as a traveling nurse.

Through tough circumstances and a hard recovery, Costello and his caretaker D'Agostino fell in love, tying the knot on Saturday, August 23rd at the Hyatt Regency Boston. You can see images of James and Krista Costello's happy wedding in the gallery above, courtesy of Prudente Photgraphy.
