A medical resident, wounded during a deadly shooting rampage last summer at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, has filed a lawsuit against the hospital and the gun shop that sold the weapon used by the shooter.
Many stories of heroism emerged Friday following the shooting inside Bronx Lebanon Hospital, from police rushing in to confront the gunman to doctors refusing to leave the side of patients despite the threat to their own lives.
Police officials have identified the gunman in the shooting inside Bronx Lebanon Hospital as 45-year-old Henry Bello.
Police said a former employee at that hospital opened fire with an assault rifle, injuring six people on the 16th floor and killing a woman on the 17th floor.
