Eyewitness News has learned the victim killed in a stabbing in the Tarzana neighborhood of Los Angeles, California is actor James Handy.
Actor-director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner died minutes after they were stabbed multiple times, according to the couple's death certificates.
Nick Reiner, 32, was taken into custody on Sunday night and is being held without bail, according to authorities.
"This is a devastating loss for our city and our country," Mayor Karen Bass said.
Sources say lab tests and toxicology reports will hopefully answer how she died. Until then, it remains a death investigation and not a homicide investigation.
The "Old Town Road" singer was arrested in Los Angeles on Aug. 21.
