The NHL announced Sunday it has fined Boston Bruins forward Shawn Thornton $2,820.52 for unsportsmanlike conduct during Boston's 4-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens in Game 5 of the second-round Stanley Cup playoffs series Saturday night at TD Garden.
