LEONIA, New Jersey (WABC) -- A Tinder date apparently stole a dog from a sitter in New Jersey.

Someone took "Maggie" from a home in Leonia on Sunday night.

Police received a 911 call from the 18-year-old female house sitter who was looking after the family's white Maltese.

Investigators say the dog disappeared after she invited the man over to the house.

He brought another man with him.

While the house sitter was distracted, the dog, a laptop and an Amazon package were all stolen.
